Special Pops Tennis Presents SPT Volunteer Coaches Cert

Greetings and welcome to our newest program at Special Pops Tennis. We have been in action since 2005 and serve many Athletes through a variety of programs at multiple sites in metro Atlanta. Our Athlete training is offered at no cost as we rely heavily on the expertise and compassion of the many tennis players and tennis facilities in metro Atlanta. As a grassroots volunteer organization, it is challenging to engage the adaptive population consistently, allowing the Athlete to give their best effort in training and competition.

To meet the challenge, we must continually dedicate ourselves to a standard of quality in training by equipping our volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver on that commitment.

Directing this effort is Viola Madej, SPT Board member – Volunteer Training. Viola has a successful background in teaching tennis to thousands of children and adults as both players and coaches. SPT benefits from the knowledge and expertise that Viola brings to the organization. Her teaching style has proven to be successful whether she is teaching a high-performance tennis player or a beginner. This is true for a variety of skill levels that exist among our SPT athletes!

So WELCOME to the inaugural SPTVC (Special Pops Tennis Volunteer Coach) course as a member of the class of 2023! We look forward to your participation and always welcome and encourage your feedback!

Jim Hamm – SPT Executive Director
