Special Populations Tennis Program, Inc. (Special Pops) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that offers an adaptive tennis program specifically designed to share the lifetime sport of tennis with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Programs offered free of charge to all skill levels, including those who have never played, including year-round tennis instruction, league play, and tournament competition.

Do we have a schedule of activities? I have a kid that is in school on Friday but always participates.

Schedule is not yet released. But traditionally Friday features skills, short court and 60' court unified doubles. Saturday usually offers traditional and unified full court doubles. Sunday offers full court singles.

We will start our practices back up on February 26 at Lifetime, Peachtree Corners.

Those medals are EPIC!

Programs Director
1. Prior experience in a SPT site leadership or SPT special event is preferred.
2. Participate in identifying training sites to host SPT academy sessions.
3. Provide input into site leadership performance metrics and site review profile.
4. Oversight of training programs (athlete and volunteers).
5. Participate in identifying coach and head of delegation for travel tournaments.
6. Develop process for managing weekly site volunteer/athlete participation ratio based on site, court usage, and skill level.
7. Coordinate communications for Special Olympics with SPT Special Olympics Coordinator
8. Coordinate tournament desk activities (including staffing) for SPT hosted tennis competition.
9. Communicate training needs for volunteers to Volunteer Training Director.
