Treasurer/Regulatory Compliance Director Job Responsibilities:
1. Prior experience with SPT in a volunteer position is preferred.
2. CPA designation is preferred.
3. Understand financial accounting for nonprofits.
4. Working knowledge of QuickBooks software.
5. Work with Executive Director and Board Chair to ensure appropriate financial reports are made available to the board on a timely basis.
6. Manage the board’s review of and action related to the board’s financial responsibilities.
7. Present the annual budget to the board for approval.
8. Review the annual audit and answer board members’ questions about the audit.
9. Regulatory compliance (Form 990) and state registration with GA Secretary of State.
10. Participate in contracts that have a financial impact on SPT.
11. Perform check issuance and monthly bank statement reconciliations in accordance with SPT Financial Policies and Procedures.
12. Ensure licensing requirements are met
13. Lead the activities regarding audits and tax filings to include recommendation of service providers
